California values are similar to New York values, Lyin' Ted.

It's hilarious that he thinks Fiorina will help him in California since she did so well there in a GOP wave year.

"Soooooo yesterday."

If he names her, he is doomed.  It may help him win IN and change conversation for a few days but it severely limits his convention options.  And Fiorina is a fierce "attack dog" and the right gender (all of which helps), but is generally not liked by those who know her.

All in all, thumbs down.

Cruz is done.

I honestly don't think Cruz is thinking that far ahesad to the CA primary. Fiorina's value is that she will:

1. Change the conversation from Trump as the PM and
2. Attack Trump much more media effectively

In other words, Cruz needs Fiorina's help in IN, never mind CA.

But she's completely unlikable.

Which is why I think that this will eventually backfire. But, her tongue is a lethal weapon and, if she handles Trump the way she handled him in the debates, it will stop the Trump momentum and may even start the conversation that the media is not having yet, about the million reasons why he is unsuitable for the job.

While I agree that Fiorina will be able to garner some much needed media attention for the Cruz campaign in the short term, I honestly think she is not going to provide much help getting Cruz nominated, and his naming her as his VP this far out seems to be a clear act of desperation.

Cruz is nearly 500 delegates behind, has no path to the nomination, and he has the gall to pull a stunt like this. This just makes him look even more silly than he already does, if that was even possible. This Republican primary has been complete bizzaro world.

I assume people in the Cruz campaign were like "well Trump is an obscenely rich abrasive corrupt businessman, why don't we get  one of her own but with different gonads?". Not a wise desision as Carly is more on the Romney end of Corrupt Corporate Executive, while Trump is more of a Willy Wonka.

I honestly don't think Cruz is thinking that far ahesad to the CA primary. Fiorina's value is that she will:

1. Change the conversation from Trump as the Presumptive Nominee and
2. Attack Trump much more media effectively

In other words, Cruz needs Fiorina's help in IN, never mind CA.

She's also bait, to try and get Trump to offend more voters, particularly women.

I think that it will help him gain some traction for a couple of days. She will probably be campaigning for him all over Indiana for him.

Her approval among republicans is higher than Trump's try again with the false likability narrative. She's at +30 among Republicans and +1 among independents according to Gallup

This move reeks of desperation and bad. This primary is over, Trump will win Indiana and go on to secure the delegate count he needs for the nomination.

I know experience is deeply overrated, but has any major party ticket ever, combined, had less of it?

Eisenhower/Nixon comes close. Nixon had 3 years in the House  and 3 years as a Senator before he was nominated for VP.

I'd consider being a leading World War II general and NATO Supreme Commander in the first years of the Cold War to be 'experience', although I wouldn't necessarily say so for military leadership in every war or at every point in history.
