There is more to the left wing of the Democratic party than the people of Massachusetts.

A lot of them live in the "Western Massachusetts/ Park Slope" area of their state.
Democrats do better among lower income groups.  While affluent liberals make a lot of noise, the majority of the party is in the middle and lower class and lives in urban areas.
