They still use the Napoleonic Code. What do you expect?

At this point, that'll probably never change.  It's good for the lawyers in the state, because it keeps out-of-staters from being able to easily practice law in Louisiana.

Well, I mean, the Court could overturn Lawrence v. Texas, right, at which point, it's very important that states have laws like these on the books!

But seriously, this stuff is settled law.  It's amazing that cops are actually enforcing this stuff.  Get the dumb laws off the books and worry about things that actually matter.  This should've been able to pass with a voice vote; what a shame.
