HP (D). Basically I agree with traininthedistance and IceSpear. There's really no reason to like him unless:

1-You're one of those Serious People breed of Moderate Heroes who rave about how entitlement reform needs to be embraced by the Democrats and wants to revive the DLC and its views on taxation and all that and applaud selling out to Republicans even on things like redistricting for being "bipartisan". Basically an orientation that's mostly extinct except for some pundits.

2-You love to be a contrarian.

3-You only care about gay marriage.

Oh and I suppose 4-You aren't too familiar with his whole record and legitimate attacks and criticisms of him and only the ridiculous True Leftist whining. Which probably applies to most of the FF voters.

Bushie doesn't need the update. He needs to stop wasting time on the internet and move on with his life.

Of course, neither side will ever listen.

The assertion that it would have been possible to 'competently' reform the Soviet Union is sweet.

Interesting that I/O is the only group that clearly favours the cause of justice. A lot of right-wing Democrats out there.

Everything in the world will be a bit better when everybody stops trying to be an internet investigator/detective.

Wonder how this morning's big interview went...

Didn't he say it was at 0800?  I hope he sent out a ton of applications and not just 2 more since he last posted.

He probably napped through most of that time, had some brief relaxations and watched either baseball or basketball, ate some bad food and maybe sent out an application or two and didn't prepair for his interivew unfortunatly.

It's the show people watch to try and be "cool" or not fit in with the "mainstream idiots who watch the not funny BBT". So bascially a crappy, not funny hipster show.

"hipster" = "thing I don't like"

Are there really that many fundies? Strange.

Is that what we are calling Christians, Jews, and Muslims now?

Improper use of terminology is the greatest scourge of our time.

Black conservatives are often more extreme than a lot of white ones. So no.

Worth considering:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiMs165tVdw

As Peggy Noonan wrote, it isn’t just that she didn’t jump, it’s that she used the word “puerile” and either assumed it would be understood or, even better, didn’t care if you knew it and assumed if you were interested you’d haul yourself to a dictionary, to your betterment. This is how leaders used to talk. They didn’t use baby words. They said mothers and fathers, not moms and dads. A funny thing modern politicians, all of whom are mobbed up with media consultants, don’t understand: If they spoke like adults people would respect them more. And they’d stand out more from the pack. And if the adult language they were speaking were completely natural to them, obviously organic to them, people would be more than impressed, they’d be grateful. Anyway, this is how the grown-ups used to do it.

(However I will admit I found it a little amusing.)

The party of Dubya doesn't get to make that sort of comment without causing people to collapse from hysterical laughter.

It's not possible to legislate away the fact that a very large portion of the Italian electorate wants Berlusconi.

CNN always goes to #1 when there's news then falls back to 3rd when the only "news" is whatever hack jobs can dig up on Benghazi and Bridgegate.

Before the campaign really starts, election discussion is always pretty terrible. Discussion of the results afterwards, when there interesting things to map, is usually good. When the campaign is actually in its main stages, it's more of a mix.

This. It's mostly an election results and maps site, and it's great to discuss that. The problem with discussing elections is there's nothing meaty to discuss, so it's just pointless speculation and a bunch of hackery.
