Once they've served their time, I'm fine with allowing them to vote. Why should I care - most of them didn't vote before incarceration and I doubt they'd be just as likely not to vote afterwards.

Exactly. I actually think it's a good sign that a felon/ex-felon would want to vote (hence expressing concern for his/her country).

Voting is a right, not a privilege.
I agree with you 100%.

So are life and liberty, yet we take them away from felons.  Life and liberty are 2 of the fundamental rights our nation is founded upon, voting is not.

1) For the record, I do not support the death penalty.
2) Part of the reason that we take liberty from felons is to protect society--society is not "protected" by denying felons' voting rights.
