If you frame it as a reduction in the number rather than cutting it down to zero, then it's popular. So the 51% in this poll saying that 100,000 Syrian refugees this year is too many...that sounds plausible to me. But pretty much every other aspect of the travel ban is popular in some polls and unpopular in others.
