Ding ding, we have a winner!  Now for the hardest question in the world, why?  No one's been able to answer yet, here's your moment to shine.

Because it sucks there, especially South Jersey.

Lame.  There are a thousand better non-answers.

I can't say really.  I've missed a good deal of "flyover country" in my travels.

Reactions on 3 states:

Indiana seemed too flat for my liking. Indy seemed like there is not that much to do after the first day or two.
Florida is too flat, hot and has too many strip malls.
California didnt really seem to have its own culture- too many transplants.

Also a lot of favorite/least favorite state stuff can be dependent on your financial situation.  If you dont have a pot to piss in certain "cool" places can lose their aura.

Without question, Florida. Horrible climate, the possibility of home destruction and all your belongings every summer, horrible traffic and old people who don't know how to drive, wretched economy, education system in collapse, can't even get elections to work right, stupid state laws make it more difficult for me to do my job working with people who live there, obviously racist as fucking hell judging by Obama's primary performance and its ban on 40s. and an insane police state with its draconian laws on drugs, alcohol, prostitution and strip club restrictions, awful even by US standards. I visited it on vacation with my family more than 10 years ago, I will never ever again set foot in that wretched shithole of a state. It is the very definition of hell on fucking earth.

Texas, mostly because of the attitude of the people plus Dallas is the most boring city ever. Houston seems like a good place till you realize all the beaches are pieces of sh**t and there is no effort among the local population to make it better. I hear Corpus Christie, San Antonio and Austin are nice though.

They are. More than compensates for whatever other stupidity goes on in that state.

I have to go with Florida too. The ban on 40s alone is enough.

The first thing I did to celebrate Obama's victory was buy a 40, no clue what I would've done in Florida.

Houston suburbia is the worst place I've ever been to.

Arkansas. I've driven through it and spent some time there. It's a beautiful state if you go to the right areas, but.. I dunno.. the atmosphere there was always just a buzz kill for me. There are tons of other states I could add, but I havent visted the whole thing. Like I dont like California, but I havent been to Northern CA.

You have no idea. Massachusetts is alright though, even with its 'liberal' paternalism I'd prefer it to most states.

Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska.  Three Republican states with nothing to see or worth visiting.
