Pretty sad, but expected.

What's Schumer's CoH?  Schumer has to work with a $2k donation limit instead of a $50k one.  He had like $19m back in February

He had $22m back at the start of April. His Q2 isn't posted yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see him above $30m.

Was reading NY Post today at lunch.

Apparently both Spitzer (2006) and Pataki (2002) had more CoH at this point than Cuomo ($36 million and $32 million respectively), although it really doesn't matter.

The NYT story says this though?

Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo’s campaign for governor said on Thursday that it had raised more than $9 million in the first half of the year and had $23.6 million on hand.

The latter figure is the largest ever reported by a statewide candidate, according to an analysis by the New York Public Interest Research Group.

Hmmm...  Gonna have to actually look this up, since in terms of accuracy I trust neither paper.

This story for Spitzer as of July 18, 2006 says $16 million CoH as of that date, so it appears like NYT was right in that regard.

http://www.cbs6albany.com/news/spent-12534--.html

Same article says Pataki spent (and therefore obviously raised) $45 million in 2002, but I don't have specifics on July numbers.

Sam about a minute into this video, then skipping forward to 4 minutes into this video, the numbers are explained:

Cuomo has broken every single record in NY state history on cash on hand at this point in the cycle, but Spitzer & Pataki outraised him in total.  Spitzer was spending a lot of money, partially because of Suozzi, while Cuomo didn't even announce until half the way through the cycle

Still less than Rick Scott's attempt to buy the Florida Governorship $24.9M and counting.
And get this, he's actually asking for campaign donations on facebook. Come on Scott.

If Paladino wins the GOP primary, as looks increasingly likely since he appears on track to outspend Lazio 4-1, it would probably kill the Conservative Party unless Lazio got nominated to a judgeship.

Parties need to get 50,000 votes on the governor's line to retain automatic ballot status, and Paladino is not in the Conservative primary.

I love Paladino's facebook ads. "Tired of the status CUOMO?" Genius stuff.

One of Mario Cuomo's no-name opponents came up with that, and then Lazio copied it ("Break the Status Cuomo!"), and then Paladino copied Lazio
