Well, his wife and kids are African-American, so that makes sense. Those policies affect them.

Side note; Dante de Blasio (de Blasio's son) has the greatest Afro ever. Just look at it.

I find people with De/La prefixes in their name to be universally fringe crazies

De Blasio wants to get rid of stop and frisk, wants to tax the rich, and has an African-American family while he's a white guy.

Apparently Randy Credico, this no-name comedian type that tried and failed to primary Chuck Schumer, got 3 districts, including one with 90%. He's the light pink that isn't Weiner on the colorful map.

Charles Hynes is completely ineffective and his office is a mess (also, he's 78, time to retire dude).   He also has an unwritten deal with the Hasidic community not to prosecute crimes within their community.  The Kings County DA has routinely ignored a child sexual abuse problem in the Hasidic community.  It's really terrible.

Ah. Good that he lost then. Who won, and what can we expect from the winner?

EDIT: Wait, Hynes was on the Republican AND the Democratic ballots? How is that legal?

Thank goodness.  This was the race with the highest chance of a disastrous outcome, and the voters did the right thing.
