The kilt Michael is wearing - is the tartan part of his heritage/ancestory, or was it chosen in another manner?

Michael's from Pennsylvania, IIRC.

Indeed - that's why I asked about his heritage and not Andrew's. I assumed Andrew to be wearing the Leitch tartan, although that could possibly be a false assumption.
