The campaign would have to be strictly on issues, especially economic inequality. The entire "Madam President" thing would need to fade away, as would, to a degree, the "electability" issue.
We have a media that is all about Bread and Circuses, so I don't think this could happen. Too many "Movement Progressives" are more concerned about the feminist angle than about the issue of income inequailty, at least when it comes to actually voting.
