I haven't seen much discussion on this.  I hope the Trump admin follows through on this threat now that Pence has drawn a "red line" so to speak.  Would be one of the few good foreign policy moves this administration has made!  Sanction the hell out of Erdogan and his cronies, please.

Turkey supporting various extremist groups? Whatever.

Turkey turning into a blatant dictatorship? Who care?

Turkey detaining an evangelical pastor? OMG HIT THEM WITH SANCTIONS!

It's the straw that broke the camel's back.

It's the straw that broke the camel's back. 

It's the selective hipocrisy behind this that's heavy enough to break four camel's backs.

Europe might not care that Christians are being slaughtered around the world but I’m glad the United states still does.
