Does anyone know now to count IRV? By my count, Buffalo and franzl's garden is tied for first. But I'm not the best at doing IRV.

Our only requests are lots of beer, bourbon and boobs. So yes, I think that's a fine plan. Congrats to buffalo! Our convention will commence a 2 weeks before the February election!

Would The People at least be interested in having our election night party in the magical garden?

I heartily approve. And hooray, Buffalo!

If I have to go to f'ing Buffalo, I will need stuff on tap ... at all times.

It is the will of The People. It will be a good time, as They know best.

But does this garden have bourbon of tap? It would be one of the most wonderful things if so.

I would like to respectfully ask for the endorsement of The People's Party for the Winfield/Simfan ticket.

Why would The People do such a thing?

Now now, everyone has their day in court with Us. Mr. Winfield is a member of The Caucus, despite his refusal in the past to join The Party.

I have nothing against Mr. Winfield, but when we have two great men of The People on another ticket, one of which is a founding member of the party.. we need to support them Smiley

Of course. I never promised Mr. Winfield anything, but he is entitled to be included on our ballot for an endorsement for second or third preference. Wink

We need to vote on the Mideast Governor and assemblyman race before it begins. I am going to open the ballot tonight. Please rank the governors candidates 1-2, and simply check the box of the assembly candidates of those who you wish to endorse. TexasDem automatically receives our endorsement, as he is one of The People.

It is as follows:

Mideast Governor
[ ]Tmthforu (Fed)
[ ]drj101(Lab)
[ ]No endorsement
[ ]Abstain

Miodeast Assembly
[ ]Idaho Blue Dog Dem (Federalist-KY)
[ ]Inks.LWC (Federalist-MI)
[ ]ZuWo (Federalist-KY)
[ ]JCL (Federalist-IN)
[ ]Oldiesfreak1854 (Federalist-MI)
[ ]Gass3268 (Labor-WI)
[ ]A Person (Labor-IL)
[ ]Drj101 (Labor-VA)
[ ]Clinton1996 (Liberal-VA)
[X]TexasDem (TPP-MO) - ENDORSED
[ ]No endorsement
[ ]Abstain

The People know you better than you could imagine. As for our timing, we planned it so our endorsement will be front page news just as the polls open. No speech necessary. Wink

Which begs the question, and something I have pondered before, is whether The Party should make public endorsements at all anymore. As a member of The Party, one secures the nomination of The People automatically, and after that person is preferenced, our Members are free to do as The People command.

But these things are informal nowadays anyway, as fusion ticket voting is no longer around. How often do party members in other parties follow their party's endorsements? The ones that are not mindless zombie voters anyway. Not very often I don't believe.

I favor at least cutting back to 1-2 endorsements max. It's not like any of Us following a guide when voting anyway. Doing away with them completely would be fine as well, especially since fusion voting is no longer around. Id hope most in The Party would be smart enough to know to support Our candidates candidates without needing an endorsement post. Wink

I think limiting it to 1 per office outside of our own candidates would be a good compromise. Voting does give us something to do, you're correct. Tongue

But anyway, I am getting excited for The People's Convention. With Franzl's imported German ladies, things will get interesting. Remember, what happens at The Convention stays at The Convention.

One of the things we need to do is update our Wiki, or actually make one. I used to have access to the Wiki years ago, but Dave apparently revoked my access or something.

"It has by laws" - I like that.

And Simfan, I'll be staying at the beer hall. They have rooms, and it's closer to Franzl's magic garden where we will of course hold our after parties.

Yes. I like simple. The Party needs no flashy logo.

I also expect we should make a color official at the convention since it is unofficially pink at the moment. Tongue

I am also going to introduce an amended bylaw that limits our endorsements to one candidate per office outside of our official candidates.

Is this too minimalistic? I just did this on Photoshop quickly. And are we wanting to go with purple as our color? Tongue

I modeled it after Oakvale's. I like the idea that TPP be modeled like an element, as it is The People who are the essential element of Atlasia, like oxygen is the essential element to life on earth. That's pretty deep stuff, am I right?

Purple? What happened to lovely pink? Now I'm going to have to get a new can of body paint for Duke. Angry

The pink was merely our media given color. If we ultimately decide on pink, then so be it, but The People have the right to choose their own color to represent Their party.

Since Oakvale used purple, I figure I would roll with it. I like it. But the final say is up to The People, of course.

This is a great day for The Party. Fezzy has been an advocate for freedom since he joined this wretched place so many years ago. Now that are united once again, the sun will rise in Atlasia. Long live The People.

Suggestion of making an official logo or his logo itself? Either way, we can vote on a bunch of them at the upcoming convention.

Quick rundown of some of the things we need to do during the convention:

1. Decide on a logo
2. Decide on an official color, even if we want to go with pink, we need to make it official
3. Amend the bylaws to limit the number of endorsements we hand out per office
4. Speeches - open the floor to those seeking our endorsement and then for our own candidates who are running
5. Official endorsements

If The People so wish to do anything else, obviously, they will be free to do as much. As with all things, this is merely a blueprint. The People cannot be held in check by a rigid agenda.

I will continue to advocate for a regal purple. Tongue

That's fine. I prefer regal purple to pink. I also had a request for green and a different logo, which I promised to work on. Tongue

The Convention will begin February 8, 2013, and run through February 17, 2013. That should give us plenty of time to accomplish what we need to accomplish. The Presidential and class B senate elections begin the 15th and run till the 17th.

For TexanDem (Tallyrand):

Critiquing is obviously welcomed. I was unsure about the overall colors of our name. I originally had it one color, and I do think I like it better that way. Tongue

Also, here is another remake of TPP logo with regal purple and the words in the letter, if we like that style.
