Candidate quality matters less and less in this polarized age.  Trump would be a poor candidate, but the safe R states would still be safely anti-Obama, and Romney wasn't a great candidate either.

With the Donald at the top, Obama takes North Carolina... and most likely nothing else changes from the actual map.

Obama might then expand the map and campaign in other states, though. Georgia, Montana, Indiana, North Dakota, Missouri, etc.
