Some of Mitterand's and Chirac's strongest areas were in the two departments Le Pen won. Let me assure you, neither would vote for Macron.

I suspect both would have abstained, but, if Le Pen had ran as a candidate in their party with the same platform, just different rhetoric, I think they would support her over Emmanuel I, long may he reign.
