"Daniel proposed similar legislation last year, according to CBS affiliate WVLT, but pulled it after a critic noted that its speech protections could theoretically allow ISIS to recruit on campus."

Well I guess we know how this one will go, too.

Seems vague and pointless. Also could someone explain why trigger warnings are an assault on free speech? Huh

Does this include conservative students hearing that the United States and even some of its great leaders did terrible things including committing de facto genocide of native Americans and that the United States actually isn't exceptional?

Because I know before being concerned about the 'assault on free speech' by the left, many of those on the right like Dick Cheney's wife only wanted college (and high school students) to hear what a perfect union the United States was so as not to confuse their minds by introducing the concept that the world actually isn't black and white.

If they actually want genuine valid debates now, then I'm all for that.

-You do realize President Trump agrees firmly agrees with all that, right? "We've got a lot of killers"? If the President can say it, so can anyone else.

I'm not sure that Trump believes the same things from one minute to the next.

If you still associate Tennessee with Al Gore, Tennessee as one of the more progressive states in the South, then you are out of touch with reality.
