War is legitimately one of the worst if not the worst things humans do--our entire foreign policy should be set up with the sole focus of minimizing deaths; especially to innocent people.

Accidents happen, and people die, and that's truly a horrific thing. What's just as bad is that I have no faith whatsoever in my consistently crap government to take any measures to keep things like this from happening again.

I don't think it's the government's role to intervene in every damn global crises that happens. Just how I don't think it's their right to take people's money, spy on them, tell them who they can't marry or what they can't smoke; but now it's even more important because the lives of actual human beings are at stake.

But if you still intervene (they've never taken my advice before), do two things: 1) know what you're doing (first WMDs, now Al-Assad: first he's the evil guy we need to risk human life to get rid of, now he's our BFF to defeat IS(IS/IL)--get the facts correct, please), and 2) only kill the legitimately bad people, and no one else. This is why the atomic bombs at the end of WWII were wrong--too many innocent deaths to justify it.

This isn't a damn video game. People die. Get it right or get the f**ck out.

(Aw, I was trying to avoid that turning into a rant...oops...)
