It might be the right solution. Many Democrats want that. (If anything it would be wise to drop the Medicare age to 50 or so just to reduce age discrimination in the workplace).
Just because it is Trump policy does not mean that it is bad policy. He would need Democrats, but if that is his "Repeal and Replace", then maybe that is one victory we can concede him.
Question: how do you save the insurance companies? At age 60 I found medical insurance more costly than rent or payments on a really-nice car.
