Alabama judge strikes down ban on gay marriage

This is a major embarrassment for every state with a ban bar Mississippi.

I don't follow. It's pretty embarrassing for us too. Unless you were referring to how the Courts have already struck ours down (?)

It's because the only state more socially conservative than AL is MS.  The other states that don't have it aren't as socially conservative as AL.  That's why it's an embarrassment for them.
