The following thread shall be used for Atlasians to post questions to be asked of the District One candidates.  I invite BaconKing and Sen. Washburn (if he is running) to join me in this debate.  If anyone wants to take sponsorship feel free

Naso was well-known for posting Atlasian political speeches on YouTube.

I'm fine with pretty much anyone moderating.

Propose questions and I'm sure myself and my honorable opponent will answer them, however, I cannot guarantee a lot of internet time this weekend

I'll break the ice and ask a question.

Why did the End to Districts Amendment fail? Do you support it or oppose it? Why? If you support it, would you reintroduce it if elected?

I was not in Atlasia at the time, however, I continue to ponder this issue and think that it would not have been a good idea.  The current system works well and we have everyone represented and competitive elections.  The only reason to mess with this system to me seems like because we are bored.  However, if the issue came before the senate again I would vote "Yes" so the voters could decide on it.

Actually, it's precisely because so many elections weren't properly competitive that was a major factor in the ETDA being driven forward.

I wholeheartedly support the ETDA. I voted for it as a citizen and would have done so as a senator. It would definitely be a positive change for Atlasia, and if elected I will reintroduce it if the Senate becomes significantly 'unclogged'.

Okay, I've got some questions, myself.

(1) In your opinion, what is the most important piece of legislation currently sitting in the Senate queue?  (And, of course, how would you vote/amend it, if applicable?)

I think that are a lot of pressing issues the next senate will deal.  However, the most important bill sitting in the incredibly clogged senate queue in my opinion is the bill currently sponsored by Ebowed, Comprehensive Drug Reform Bill of 2007.   This bill should finally end the War on Drugs, something that is a tenet of my campaign.

I honestly don't think a sinlge piece of legislation is the most important; there are a number I like, and a number I don't, but none of them in my mind take priority over the rest.
