The United States. The more I travel around the more, the more I realize the USA is truly an amazing place to be, for all our faults. I mean, that's why my mom immigrated here (in addition to tens of millions more), for a better and freer life.

43 votes in and the United Kingdom has only a single vote. Literally tied with Uganda and Uzbekistan.

Well, the UK wouldn't exactly be the natural destination for people looking to be edgy and "make a statement" by voting against their own country.

It would probably be winning if the US wasn't an option.

USA; we might not be the best, but we have the greatest opportunity to be the best. We can overcome our problems, and we have potential beyond almost any other country. We've squandered that potential yes, but we can still reshape the world in many ways, whether for good or for ill.

Ah, I'm just sad that South America has no winners so far.

Venezuela will be their last chance and it is not popular here.

It will be  Vietnam, Vatican, Vanuatu and Venezuela. Looks like an easy Vietnam win.

The only country with a flag on the moon

If any country still meets that criterion, India might be the best bet.

That's homophobic!

On a side note, isn't the UK actually multiple countries?

My answer to both of those statements is "No, it's not." More obviously applied to the first one. Yes, the UK has multiple countries, but they are not independent. If Taiwan, a sovereign state, doesn't count, neither do these.

Taiwan should have been included under "R". If the country commonly referred to as Congo was put there, surely the Republic of China should as well.

This forum is definitely more patriotic than I thought. For the record, I don't disagree with Train's assessment and I think Americans have good reasons to be proud of their country. I still think Uruguay deserves to win this for its uniqueness, but I can understand where the US voters are coming from.
