The state has been trending republican since 1992 and Bush approvals aren't that bad in TN. Plus Bill Frist approvals aren't that bad. Lastly, Ford is from Memphis and that is very liberal part of the state. I would love for Ford to win but I don't expect it.

In order for the Dems to win TN, they would have to hold the repuvblicans to 9 seats, and that haven't happened in generations.

I think McCaskill has a better shot than Ford does. The state is conservative and Ford is very liberal.  Plus he has ethics issues with his daddy.

He voted against the tax cuts and is pro-abortion. TN is for tax cuts. Again I am not saying he will lose, it is hard for him to win.

12 Dems in the Senate voted for the Bush first tax cuts and most of them were moderates. I give slight advantage, but Corker has had problems with ethics as well, that's why its close, and it will go down to the wire.

I didn't  say that Ford was a liberal I said that he was liberal on some issues. They could win TN but it is unlikely because of the demographics, and voting against tax cuts isn't very popular in TN. I think Ford can win but McCaskill has a better shot. And don't forget not every pollster has Ford ahead Rasmussen doesn't have him ahead.
