Which election should I update for my project next. If 1860 is chosen I need some help with getting the map to have four colors. But, that's only if it is chosen. Now get to picking.

I'd go with 1860.

And for having a 4 (or even 5) colors, you just have to manually edit the map code. You look at the first number for each State and you put 1 for red, 2 for blue, 3 for green, 4 for yellow and 5 for orange.

1844 would be a great choice...Some interesting themes, foreign interventionism, international trade...

1948 is what I voted, mostly because there are two candidates who split off from the Democratic Party: Wallace and Thurmond, who would make it interesting.
