Now that Lamont has won, and you've gloated some, will you please leave so the adults can discuss the implications of this.

Why is opposing the war an extremist position?

because it is the wrong position.  it would send the wrong message to the terrorists.

furthermore, even if you think weve royally screwed up iraq, shouldnt we attempt to fix it?

you looney tunes just want to pack up and leave and let the place turn into a terrorist playground.

Opposing Bush's warmongering is not extreme at all.

Nope, it's not extreme . . . just wrong.

Oh; and to repeat stuff I said earlier... Lamont isn't an extremist. He isn't even really left-wing.

At least 60% of the country thinks you're wrong, MODU (as well as many of the generals in Iraq).

I always find it funny when people refer to "the terrorists", we need a more specific enemy..

However I do generally agree on this point, I don't believe in the US or UK immediately withdrawing their troops, however I'm afraid I think those politicians responsible for royally screwing up Iraq should be punished..

We can't fix Iraq because it's a fundamentally screwed up state (any state created in the manner it was is already going to be a disaster) and a horrible land of theocracy.

I'm not sure that he is an extremist; I know very little about him except that he is to the left of Lieberman.  However, the media does paint him that way, and that's why I implied in other threads that he is an extremist.
