I just wish the Update would formally return. This underground bit is interesting, but pretty soon, the real thing needs to be relaunched.

I find it offends public policy to withhold Update from Atlas forum members.

Not my best work, but I tried.

Oh, the CADDman draws circles
Up and down the block
I'd ask him what the matter was
But I know that he’s gonna talk
And the ladies treat him kindly
And he wears a Dixiecrat cape
But deep inside my heart
I know he can’t escape
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Well the Duke he's in the alley
With his fancy shoes and his bells
Speaking to some French girl
Who says she knows Bushie well
And I would send a personal message
To find out if she's talked
But the Kenya money has been stolen
And the apartment is locked
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Inks tried to tell him
To not open another credit line
He said that all the finance men
Just drink up your blood like wine
And Bushie said "Oh I didn't know that
But then again there's only one I've met
And he just smoked my eyelids
And punched my cigarette"
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

JJ died last week
And now he's buried in the rocks
But no one really talks about
How badly they were shocked
But Simfan, he expected it to happen
He knew he'd lost control
When Mondale made an account on Facebook
And published all of Bushie's story's holes
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Now the JMCFSTs came down here
Showing ev'ryone their guns
Handing Angus a free ticket
To the wedding of his son
And Simfan, he nearly get busted
While Bushie reads the Sermon on the Mount
To get caught without a ticket
And be discovered behind a Facebook account
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Now the preacher looked so baffled
When Bushie asked him why he dressed
With twenty pounds of body fat
Missing from his chest
But he cursed him when the Kenya thing fell through
Then Mondale whispered, "you can’t hide
You see, you're just like me
I hope you're satisfied"
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Now Russ Powers Oklahoma gave him two cures
Then he said, "Jump right in"
The one was Computer Aided Draft and Design
The other was just pickle brine
Bushie didn’t mix them
It didn’t strangle up his mind
And now, Mondale’s act gets uglier
And he threw away the picke brine
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

When Allison says come see her
In her honky-tonk lagoon
Where Bushie can watch her waltz for free
'Neath her prairie moon
And Inks says, "Aw come on now
Is this really your typical Saturday night haunt?
And Bushie says, "You just don’t know what I need
But I know what I want"
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Now the bricks fly on Facebook
Where the Mondale the madmen climbs
They all fall there so perfectly
It all seems so well timed
And here Bushie sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
He hasn’t realized you  gotta pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice
Oh, Mama, is this really the end
To be stuck inside of Tulsa
With the Oklahoma City blues again.

Very nice work!

Well, really the only difference between this thread right now and a normal Update thread is that I have the power to lock it instead of Jeff. Do you really want him to have that power back?

Who are these guys and why has it blown up on the Internet?

My parents don't like the fact that I've fallen into a lot of bait-and-switch jobs where they promise me one thing then backstab me by doing something entirely different or that I've been let go.   That's why they haven't cut the cord.   This predicament is not entirely my fault.   That's said,  they expect me to vigorously look for a job and conserve my money.

You do realize you're like 99% at fault for your predicament, right? This last job's firing was solely your fault.

They still receive my monthly support and are doing well.

I think you mean your grandma's monthly support.

Is your cushion thanks to Granny or some unused student loan proceeds?

The student loan check I got in January/early February.  I didn't have a job, then, so I decided to keep that for a big cushion and pay down the loan as we have been.  It's really come in handy.  That was really a smart idea.

How is taking out a loan without any prospects of paying it back a smart idea?  Especially when it's a loan that can survive bankruptcy?

Thankfully, I am in no danger of defaulting.  Thanks to my parents, I always have ample money to pay all of my bills.
That is truly a sickening post.  You have no care in the world about the financial burden that you are on those you claim to love.  A 32-year-old man should never say, "Thanks to my parents, I always have ample money to pay all of my bills."

Yes. 99% is not entirely Bushie's fault, silly. Smiley

Oh, look, Inks responded?  Should I respond back?  Nahh, I'll let him continue his baseless and unwarranted attacks if it makes the kid feel better.  You may be a better person than me, but I can still call you kid.

Jeff, nothing of what I said was meant to be an insult. Sure, compared to you, I may be a "kid" in age, but instead of spending time insulting me on that, why not consider the fact that while I'm only 8 years younger than you, I'm a heck of a lot healthier and financially sound than you and learn to take advice from those who offer it? Your parents won't live forever, and if you continue on your current path, they'll die in debt trying to keep you out of bankruptcy.

I'm doing the best I can and it's about time people realize that.  I am looking feverishly for a job (nobody can deny that).  I have three really good leads and put in about 4-5 applications a day.  Sure, they're not CAD jobs, but I'm not being picky about what jobs I apply to.  Nobody, and I mean nobody can tell me with a straight face that I am not doing EVERYTHING I need to do right now.  Nobody has the right to attack me on what I'm doing right now.  I am not a worthless bum and I am not living like a worthless bum.  Furthermore, I am not acting like a child.  I am acting like a grown 32 year old man.  Everybody you talk to would tell you I have the mind of someone in their 50's or 60's.  I talk old.  I act old.  I have had some tough breaks, and some have been self-inflicted, but I learn from my mistakes and I am doing my VERY best trying to remedy the situation.

You are financially, physically, and mentally dependent upon your parents. That is not acting like a 32 year old man.

You have absolutely no idea what goes on in my real world, so you have absolutely ZERO right to condemn me for being "childish".

I know for a fact you lived with your grandmother before recently, and before than your parents. I know you are dependent on "loan money" to which they are the debtors. I know you are constantly dependent on their "advice". You have told us these things.  I have every right in the world.

I am done with this update for right now.  I am not going to get into a back and forth with anybody over an argument they can't win.  It's not fair to them.  I am going to focus on what I need to do to make myself a more successful Godly man.

Everybody you talk to would tell you I have the mind of someone in their 50's or 60's.  I talk old.  I act old.

Ah, that explains it.  No wonder you don't want a job.  You're getting ready for retirement!

Well, one does need to start focusing as early as possible about something as important as retirement.

Oh, look, Inks responded?  Should I respond back?  Nahh, I'll let him continue his baseless and unwarranted attacks if it makes the kid feel better.  You may be a better person than me, but I can still call you kid.

Baseless? Unwarranted? Dude, you constantly create debt, call it your own, hock it on your parents to pay, and then take credit for that. You're not the Federal Reserve - you're a manchild in Oklahoma who refuses to take responsibility and always inserts some caveat whenever you supposedly do ("it's not entirely my fault...", "nobody's 100% perfect...", "Sure, I've made mistakes, but..."). These are obvious statements that don't have to be stated and usually only are when the person in question is absolutely, fundamentally 100% to blame. You just do it to try to make yourself feel better and trick others into having sympathy for your own perpetuated faults.

Have you ever paid off a major credit card or loan you've taken out in full? And I mean with money you earned from an employer, not money that your parents gave you in the first place or for cutting the grass for grandma. Now you're wasting even more borrowed money! Guess where that debt's going to end up? How old is your dad? You're single-handedly adding years to his retirement date; even when he's eligible for Social Security, he's going to have to be working at least part-time to keep his 40 year-old manchild's worthless student loan debt from ruining a future that you've already thrown in the trash with all of those excuses you make. But of course, you have ample money!

Stop borrowing money. You don't need it, you don't deserve it and you haven't earned it - not even the privilege to borrow money. You should be blacklisted from ever borrowing another red cent, and so should your parents until they learn to tell you no. They're already spending enough money to feed two people, and if you can't make it on your own, then the least you could do is wallow on back home so they don't have to foot the bill for yet another self-aborted attempt at success.

Stop making excuses. It's self-centered as hell to think that you can blame God for all of your failures. It's you - all you; the universe ain't out to get you and it ain't got no divine plan for you which revolves around all of the failures you've propagated. Laziness, excuses and convenience: that's your "divine plan". Stop blaming employers for not putting up with your shitty work ethic, and stop blaming scammers for scamming such a gullible person. Maybe if you actually had to earn your money to make ends meet and keep a roof over your head, you wouldn't be so impulsive to go beg family for hundreds or thousands of dollars to throw away on useless endeavors and scams. The only thing that's going to help you is to be completely, absolutely, cut-the-f[inks]-off from free money.

Excellent post, Adam. You can tell Bushie wasn't expecting us to react this way. He was expecting us to be proud of his "smart idea" of using unfuunded loan proceeds as a "cushion". We've caught the guy off-guard. Shows the extent of his problems.

Is your cushion thanks to Granny or some unused student loan proceeds?

The student loan check I got in January/early February.  I didn't have a job, then, so I decided to keep that for a big cushion and pay down the loan as we have been.  It's really come in handy.  That was really a smart idea.

Again, you HAVE to understand I am doing the best job I can right now.  I am actively searching for a job and nobody can deny that I am.  I have three very good leads that I'm about to leave right now to investigate one of them.  You have absolutely no right to tell me I am acting like a worthless bum.  There is no way I am.  And, also, NEVER MOCK MY FAITH.....  I want you guys to just SHUT UP.  My life is none of your business even if I do post about it.

Guys, things are not how I want them, but that doesn't mean they are horrible and pitiful right now.  I've made mistakes, but that doesn't make me a horrible manchild.  I am doing the absolute best job I can trying to get out of this current situation.  Now, about my faith.  You have to realize that God is the best multitasker in the world.  He is concerned about my everyday needs and desires, even when I screw up.  He will help me through them.  That is GUARANTEED!!!  Nobody can deny He will help me.  He can take care of the world's problems at the same time.  So, please DO NOT EVER mock my faith.  My faith is genuine and it is real and it is active.  My God is a good God and He is in control and concerned about EVERY little detail of my life.
