Had he been the nominee of the American Party in 1856 or the Constitutional Union Party in 1860, would either have faired better?  What about if Fillmore won the Constitutional Union nomination?  Thanks for your help Wink

Sam Houston as President would be awesome just for the fact that he's the only man who'd be both President of Texas & President of the US. Too bad he'd die in 1863.
