Impressive. There may be five states passing same-day registration this year. Maryland's already done, now Colorado, and Hawaii, Nevada (will Sandoval veto?) and Delaware might be the next: http://www.ncsl.org/legislatures-elections/elections/same-day-registration.aspx

I love the Republican reactions too. Can't you tell how much they love people voting?

Before it can go to Gov. John Hickenlooper for a signature to become the new way elections are held in Colorado, the bill must return to the House for approval because of "technical" amendments added in the Senate.

It's now on his desk as the state house passed the state senate-amended bill a few hours ago: http://www.therepublic.com/view/story/d96fce1b19d048b38ec825bfd52b90a7/CO-XGR--Election-Overhaul-Colorado

Looks like Hawaii will actually be in 2014?

We'll find out soon enough on Nevada's bill. It's passed the state house already and a state senate committee approved it yesterday: http://www.mynews3.com/content/news/story/Voter-Registration-Nevada-Senate-panel/Vw0ji4xlvky3PVS8WDX6ig.cspx

It was originally a same-day registration bill and Democrats modified it to close the registration period on the Friday before Election Day to hopefully garner Sandoval's support as he was opposed to same-day registration but, as you can see above, that didn't work: http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada-legislature/sandoval-opposes-early-voter-registration-bill
