Outstanding...by the extremely low standards of U.S. presidents.

Harding-Coolidge 1920 was probably the best Republican ticket ever.

One of our worst presidents.

I find it hilarious, by the way, that people like Libertas, who are always calling Obama a corporatist fascist, love Harding, whose entire administration was run by and for the big corporations of the time. And let's not forget his administration's enforcement of prohibition. If I remember correctly, Libertas once called Minnesota fascist for outlawing salvia; surely Harding must then be a fascist for having his justice department enforce alcohol prohibition (unless the bootleggers gave them bribes, of course).

I call Barack Obama a corporatist fascist because he is a corporatist fascist.

Harding's policies, while perhaps more than a bit too Hamiltonian, were not fascistic. In fact the "return to normalcy" of the 1920s provided a sort of interregnum, the peaceful eye of the storm between the warmongering authoritarian administrations of Wilson and FDR.

As for Prohibition, that's hardly something that could be blamed on the Harding administration. A president cannot choose to arbitrarily disregard a properly-ratified amendment to the U.S. Constitution without becoming a petty tyrant. Although I know that wouldn't bother you too much given your hard-on for dictatorship...
