I support this amendment, but replace Assemblyman with Representative.

Why on earth would this be unfriendly?  Representative is generic.  Assemblyman is masculine.  Besides, to my understanding, the title for members of the Northeast Assembly is Representative.  I do not understand the problem you have with this.
