I have to wonder if the Hurricane and Abercrombie's handling of it will play into the election.

I have to wonder if the Hurricane and Abercrombie's handling of it will play into the election.

I am one of the people who voted Abercrombie in this poll because I think his response to the hurricane may put him over the top, despite what the pre-hurricane polling data says.  He's been on TV the past few days "just doing his job".  His opponent has not.

Indeed. This may not win the election for him, but it sure will tighten it.

Could this be the worst primary loss for an incumbent governor ever if it holds up?

Definitely in modern years.

Seems like all the news outlets are characterizing this as a stunner, but check out the forum poll results on this thread. Pat on the back Atlas forumites.

They must be doing that for dramatic effect, it's been clear since at least June that Ige was going to win.
