Private Ryan was a very good movie. It was a good story well portrayed, and the violence didn't seem overwhelming to me. I don't usually watch violent films but this one was recommended to me. I don't have a problem with Privat Ryan on network TV, but I do with many other films. I didn't care for "Windtalkers" for more reasons than just the violence, but I understand that this is nothing more than opinion. Didn't they show Private Ryan on network TV 2 or 3 years ago?
