Personally I still think the Republican candidate has no chance of victory and that it will be a two person race between Ned Lamont (Democrat) and Joe Lieberman (Joe Lieberman).

Option 1 -I fully expect that Republicans in this state will (if they're smart) make the decision to throw their support and endorsement behind Lieberman's now all-but-inevitable independent candidacy in the wake of his apparently narrow loss in this primary, with the Republican candidate bowing out in favor of Joe Lieberman. 



I really, really doubt that is going to happen.

The GOP candidate is a nothing and will poll under 20% in the general.

He's like Chris Bell with some gambling problems rolled in.
