Seattle. Living in the Pacific Northwest is one of the few places where the cold is worth it.

I went with Seattle, even though I like both.

Also go Seahawks!

San Francisco easily.  Nothing against Seattle, but c'mon!

It is probably fairly obvious where I'd prefer. Love San Francisco though. (Go Hawks!)

Unlike SF, I'm sure I could still find at least some form of affordable rent in Seattle (relatively speaking).

I lived in Renton, WA back in the day (the mid 90s).  Therefore, I have to go with Seattle. Smiley

My guess....the left split their vote and the rest of us went hard for Seattle.

I'd be OK with either one, but voted SF because California doesn't have assisted suicide or legalized pot.

Seattle.  I don't immediately see what this question says about culture and/or ideology, so I find some of the responses puzzling, but for me it was not a question I had to consider, not that I'd mind living in San Francisco at all.

I've never been to Seattle, so I can't adequately judge, but as a life-long Bay Area resident, I almost feel like I had to pick San Francisco.

But honestly, if we're talking about the city proper, there are better major cities to live in. I feel like I would enjoy Chicago or DC a lot more than I would San Francisco.
