I just hope they're not trying to make Austria "great" again by re-annexing all of the former Habsburg territories.

That's Christoph Leitl (ÖVP), president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), speaking at a WKÖ meeting yesterday.

B) Austria's military power right now (0.5% of GDP) is comparable with the firebrigade of Rosenheim, Bavaria. So that re-annexing is unlikely.

For now, anyway. Tongue

Vienna will host a "F**k Hofer !" rally on Saturday, the day before the election:

Feminism, you c**nts!!

(former Die PARTEI election slogan)

I fear that now might not be the right moment for posters like this. I mean, provocative messaging has it's right of being when promoting your political causes, but a poster like this directed at the general audience might even help Hofer in the short term. (And before someone asks: I know that the VdB campaign is not responsible for the poster.)

Unless it sparks a general public debate and news is reporting about nothing else (which is unlikely), that poster won't have any impact on the election results at all.
