My conservative Catholic school is going to let us wear "holiday hats" on Thursday. I am very tempted to wear a turban.

How very festive! Do you appropriate culture often?

I didn't know SJWs supported Trump.

Only on Atlas we do! Smiley

Still no word from my brother. He didn't show up at his doctor's appointment, apparently.

As for my situation, apparently the reason my boss went crazy yesterday is because he was the victim of a robbery of some sort.

New news is more mundane, I have to find a place that will let me throw out a TV.

Does it still work? If it does, you might be able to donate it?

Probably not if it's an old tube TV.  Not even thrift stores want those around here.

He's alright, but he relapsed; I came home from Tally after a seven hour drive to find them engaged in a shouting match. They're dropping him off at whatever sketchy ass house he found a room in right now. When they return, my dad is going to start screaming at my mom, and mom at me, and my dad at her for screaming at me, and then my dad at me for probably screaming back, like always. I am already so sick of this crap that I'm considering returning to Tallahassee on Sunday. I've already planned to spend the next two days with various friends and than go to my aunt's in Vero for the weekend, where I'll make my decision. I have two friends in my apartment who can't make it home for Christmas, so I might as well spend it with those guys up there if it comes to that.

We know a place that will take it for free, as opposed to charging us money for it, but it's 45 minutes aways and only open on days when we both work.

Got offered a paid research position for next summer! Part of my duties would be to map the birth places and places of death of the 100+ passengers on the Mayflower for a history my prof is writing.

Did I die and go to Atlas sperg heaven?

Pretty cool, not surprised that someone like you, a politically minded kid from an upper middle class connected family, would get the position. Congrats! Smiley

Could you describe what the position is, by chance?

Anyways, over break I'm visiting my sister who is doing a NIH fellowship in Peru.  Excited to see the Andes Mountains, Macchu Picchu, and Cuzco. Smiley

Well I passed my calculus class!!!! I went from a 58% last week to a 71% with the final and a HUGE curve.

Anyways, I'm extremely disappointed with the teaching quality at Purdue Northwest. I'm very strongly considering transferring to the University of Illinois at Chicago, because their accounting program includes non-profit courses as part of the Bachelors' degree, as opposed to Purdue not including it at all. Additionally, UIC offers minors and majors in Italian, which I would love to take. And finally, being in Chicago would make more internship opportunities available to me. I'm looking into Metra's summer internship and several companies by O'Hare, and if I move in with my aunt and uncle in Chicago, commuting would be very easy.

It costs hella $$$$ though Sad

I'm at a very minor basketball game with 200 people here, but Peter King is also in attendance. What an oddity.

So this is where you talk about sh**t.

Uhh, I feel so alone, lonely and depressed for Christmas break. It's not like I don't have friends, not just any close ones. I'm all alone for Christmas, since I don't particularly celebrate it. I'm in a slum and having suicide thoughts, nothing big though I have them often, I'm SO bored.

Well I have my parents in LA, US , but most of them are in India or Nepal only some of them are in and they're some distant cousins in Perth (where I live).
