The reason Lincoln shared a bed was because as a lawyer who rode the circuit you would sleep where you could and most inns only had a few beds.
Good point PB. Adams and Franklin shared a bed on many of their diplomatic trips. Were they gay togther? No, there just wasn't enough room at most inns, like you said.
It is amazing to see how loudly and quicky and with such little evidence the gay community will claim that Lincoln, Reagan (I just don't get that one), Washington and others were gay, but when someone advances the theory that Hitler was gay, based on real psycological evidence, watch how quickly they deny it.
