He's 15 years old and people like to talk sh**t about a mentally ill teenager 10.000 miles located from them to make them feel a little better about theirselves.

That's what happened.

(and ban was obv right but give it a rest..)

He had a clear latino feel.
Even if I'm more sane, his views are nearer to what one could find on latino social media (even if it was the edgy sides of it) than mine. Surely that was only the sane side of him.

ITOH, why always my favorite users get banned?
Him, PSOL
Luckily the other is Alben Barkley, but he's like this forum's Gary Sue.

If what the mods claim is true, he was rightfully banned. But ... i'm just not a fan of the practice of keep throwing dirt to certain users for weeks/months/some cases years thereafter. Just give things a rest. Especially since he was a minor. I wish him a lot of well. He clearly was mentally ill and occassionally talked about that.

For PSOL, his ban clearly was not justified.

So FWIW...

As of the 5/21/24 OR-SOS numbers current returned ballots are:

DEM- 289,988 (29.2%)
PUB-  232,522 (32.2%)

Naturally the TO gap will likely narrow since like DEMs are much more likely than PUBs in OR to submit ballots later to the deadline.

He didn't have to say anything at all. This is absurd.

I don't understand why the United States is expected to take so much damage to its international position and internal politics, all for the sake of Netanyahu and his band of lunatics. Is there a more one-sided American alliance? We damage our relations with half the world over this and pour billions of dollars in, and get nothing in return.

We shouldn't send another dime to Israel until the settlement program ends and those calling for permanent Israeli control over Gaza are removed from office.

And before any of the Netanyahu-bros start complaining: This does not mean that I support the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Iran, or any other terrorists you'd care to bring up. The fact that Israel is still marginally better than its F-tier neighbors does not mean that they are entitled to unlimited amounts of American support.

The Los Angeles Unified School District is only 10% White; Boston Public Schools only 15%.

Even public schools located in predominantly White neighborhoods (like University High School in Brentwood) are less than 20% White.  It's mostly because rich, White parents opt to send their kids to private schools.
OK and my statement still stands, lol.

Your statement is irrelevant.  Both big city private schools and rural "segregation academies" serve mostly White families in areas where the overwhelming majority of school-aged children are non-White, and thus perpetuate racial segregation.

Mississippi Republican claims School segregation isn't an issue. In other news, water is wet.

Hopefully this bill easily passes congress .

I think it gets at least 350 votes, easily. Republicans despise the ICC, and if Biden gives the nod to support this bill, it won't face more than token opposition. 400 is probably more likely than 300.

He would win without much difficulty. Phil Scott is popular enough and liberal enough that the only objection would be the R logo on his name. As long as he refuses to support McConnell and vows to take moderate stances he should be fine. Federal partisanship alone is not going to erase nearly 50 points of margins. It also heavily depends who his opponent is though as well.
It didn't work for Governor Weld or Governor Bredsen, and Vermont is more Democratic than Tennessee is Republican. Unless we see a Republican wave of some type, the best I could see Scott doing is reducing the race to a single-digit margin.

Slightly surprising, but Chief Justice doesn't really have more power than any other Justice. Just a little more visible, particularly when swearing in the start of a new presidential term.

Probably not, but ask me again after November 5.
