One thing I have heard is that McCain will limit himself to one term.

I think he denied that the other day but come fall 2011, it may be a different story.

Of course he denies it now... and if he wins, he will likely continue to deny it until late 2011.  If he says he won't run, then he will go into office as a lame duck.

Supposedly, the Secret Service went today to do a security sweep of his sister's house.

BTW... I called my contacts in Erie, there has been no Secret Service activity there, so it seems Ridge almost certainly won't be the pick.

That was part of standard procedure. His sister was hosting some McCain event or something and Romney was going as a surrogate.

Eric Cantor on Larry King:  I think it will be Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty

im watching this eric cantor guy on television.  my goodness, he is horrid.  absolutely awful.

I KNOW.  I actually like him a bit.  I didn't realize how Republican Ben Stein was.

I think the Jew with the Southern accent with intellectual glasses is appealing though.  But he's not a fluid talker.

People need to stop saying Pawlenty is safe because he has no negatives.

The negative is the absence of positives.

Did I fall asleep and miss out on a massive electoral shift where the GOP brand suddenly became popular again?  To win, McCain must keep breaking the mold.

Yet the absence of negatives is one of the biggest positives a potential VP can have.

Saw it... makes me think it won't be either of them.

Yeah, I just said, there was no Secret Service at his house today.  I got that from people who live nearby.

I'm almost tired of reading this stuff now. We have Palin, Romney, and Ridge in Ohio but Pawlenty will be at a state fair in Minnesota?

How long has Ridge been in Ohio?  If both he and Michelle have been there all day, it woudl explain why the Secret Service wasn't in Erie.
