I decided to run a poll on who the Republicans would like to see as their nominee in 2012.

I decided to list the sixteen candidates chosen through the Republican Rundown polls (see here).

So now Republicans, vote for one of the following candidates.

Sarah Palin
Mitt Romney
Mike Huckabee
Tim Pawlenty
Charlie Crist
Jon Huntsman
John Thune
Bobby Jindal
John Ensign
Mark Sanford
Haley Barbour
Mike Pence
Eric Cantor
Tom Ridge
Mitch Daniels
Dirk Kempthorne

Voting will close in 1 week.

Mr. Chairman, I will be pleased to cast the first vote, ala Dixville Notch, and proudly cast my vote for the next President of the United States, Governor Mitt Romney.

You would probably get more of a response if you make it an actual poll, so people can vote anonymously.

My vote is for Mitt Romney.

Ouch. Tough one between Ensign and Pawlenty.

I'll go with Ensign.

The only people who are serious contenders for the nomination are Palin, Romney, and Huckabee (in that order).  Votes for other candidates are useless.  That said, undecided.

I'm registered to the Republican Party, so I'm allowed to vote.

I don't think being blue or yellow makes a difference.

As a Democrat I'd love for Republicans to pick the most out of touch candidate.

BUT- Nevertheless, I feel that Tom Ridge would have a great chance IF and only IF the GOP can deal with his pro-choice stance. Not likely.

I feel that Pawlenty, Jindal, Palin, Crist, and Romney will be the top 5 contenders come Jan 2012 at Iowa
