Therefore be it resolved that, the Alþing shall begin a debate about changing out form of government
and that, this form of government can be unique
and that, "Empire", "Kingdom", and "Dictatorship" should be examined.

I don't mean to have discussion here, but the type of government I am thinking of is "Verinocracy"

Ideally we'd change from being the "Midwest Region" to the "Verin Sovereignty" or something like that.

The bill was written as-is to encourage debate on just what direction we should take it.

Seeing as a narrow majority of Midwesterners opposed Crazy Seal because ilikeverin was scared of him,

Seal of Approval shall be the region's new official seal.

AND WHEREAS, We, as a region, are far more awesome than the other pithy regions in this great nation

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That, we shall approach the Senate and request the following.

One Bear, be it a Teddy Bear or otherwise, under his right to be armed, shall be recruited into the "Military of the Midwest". This one Bear shall thus make up the entirety of the "Military of the Midwest". The region shall request permission to grant this Bear military status, and shall ask to be allowed to maintain a total number of one (1) armed Bears as military protection.

This act shall come into force once agreed to by the Senate.

Whereas, the current capital of the region is Belle Fourche
And Whereas, this is near the middle of the region
And Whereas, being central is noy funny

Therefore be it resolved that, a referendum be called for all citizens, to be taken as an STV vote, with the options to move the capital to:
Tom in the state formerly known as Oklahoma. On the grounds that it is in the extreme southeast of the region.
In the corner of the Kootenai National Forest, on the grounds that this is the extreme northwest of the region.
And in the Northwest Angle, on the grounds that this is the extreme northeast.

THE WHAT IS UP ACT OF 2010

WHEREAS, I haven't a clue what the the governor has been doing since his election.
AND WHEREAS, You probably don't either.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That, Once a week on Sunday, or Saturday if the Governor cannot make it on Sunday, the Governor shall address the Alþing in the Universal Alþing thread to inform us of what he has been doing for the Midwest, if anything, for the past week.

AND THAT, Failure to do so on the proper schedule will result in public shaming.

This act shall come into force once agreed to by the Alþing.
