Dean would not lose as badly as Dixie suggests, but yes, he's a name of the past. I like Howard Dean, but he's just not general election material.

He has some solid liberal credentials, and can take some credit for the Democratic Party's successes during his tenure as DNC Chairman. Just like Newt Gingrich took credit for the 1994 Republican revolution, while running for President and winning two primaries.

But I don't think Dean's running. Regardless of whether or not Hillary runs.
