I support the resolution by Comrade Lief to support striking farm workers. If there's one thing the Labor Party stands for without question, it's the ability of the horny-handed sons and daughters of toil to get what is rightfully theirs.

I motion that the Labor Party endorse the following persons for office:

bore and Bacon King for President and Vice President
Talleyrand for Northeast Senate
Windjammer for Mideast Senate
TNF for Midwest Senate
TheCranberry for Pacific Senate
HagridoftheDeep for IDS Senate

Gass3268 for Midwest Governor

With the elections over and our glorious candidates successful across the whole width and breadth of the nation, I suggest we pick up steam in here again and move to the next order of business.

It appears that momentum has died in this convention, and I don't propose to attempt to artificially-extend it, but we must, at least, hold the elections for Politburo.

I ask Chairman TNF to begin that process.

Yes, we'll need to get back on track with by-laws (Chair), have our Politburo elections and work on our platform (Vice-Chair)/decide whether or not we'll be carrying over our platform from the past four months.

You are, of course, welcome to participate!  Welcome to the party!

Yep.  I think we need to move on an abbreviated time scale (unless anyone has any objections) so that we don't drag this through the new presidential term.

Anyone who wants to run for Politburo office should make that known in the next 24 hours.

Can someone inform me what the Politboro chair and vice-chair does?

I am considering a run for either Chair or Vice Chair, contingent upon:
1. The willingness of the party to elect me; and
2. The plans of anyone else who might be interested in a position.

If anyone else is interested in a position within the Politburo, I strongly encourage them to make their interests know so that we can have a lively and dynamic discussion within the convention.

I'd like to run for party leadership. I'm not sure which positions are open, and I wouldn't want to usurp more senior people who have been with the party longer, but I'm a big believer in what the Labor Party stands for, I think we've done a great job politically over the past few months, and I want to help us continue to grow and dominate.

Lief, the position of Chair is open and bore has yet to respond as to whether he'd run for Vice Chair, but there's a possibility that that position is open as well.

As I said in my post, I'm not specifically declaring for any position, but I would be interested in serving the party.
