Ultimately it was not the razor thin margin some expected but the two races were closer than historical outcomes. It was not a true referendum on Trump or the new ACA that some pundits like Nate Silver portended and now we turn the focus to 2018. I am sure there will be some tighter races in areas that closely went GOP in 2016. A lot of money was spent on the race down there. I am sure 2018 will be very heated as well.
