Congrats on:

A. people noticing you were gone
B. people giving a sh**t when you returned

I didn't manage to accomplish either of those.

Ouch

It gets boring visiting the same old sites and this place has been mentioned to me in some way over the past few days so I was curious to see what was up.

Wait, people on other sites talk about Atlas?  What kind of boring lives must these people lead, that they're actually talking about this place?

No, not people on other sites; other people that I know.  Tongue  It was just briefly mentioned.

I also called someone "an old" last night and someone responded, "...'an old?'"

You don't piss people off enough for them to notice you. It's the only way to gain Forum fame. Try being more abrasive.

Remember, that is the guy who left than he would leave Atlas if the Democrat running for Mississippi senate seat in 2008 lost!

I had a feeling, sooner or later you would come back for atleast a short period of time.

BTW didn't you leave me a voicemail a few months ago? I was going to get to you on AIM but actually never found non-away.

...uh...?

The one your have now.

I can't wait for your midterm predictions.

Sestak - 62%
Toomey - 37%
Write in: Santorum - 1%

And there's plenty more where that came from.

You sure your not be too generous to Toomey there? Wink

Phil,

if you missed the whole lifespan of a poster named Derek, consider yourself extremely lucky.  Many of us remain deeply troubled by the experience.

Maybe, but I think he would have got much joy out of seeing Hamilton get banned in January. Call it a hunch.

I predict that debates between Phil and Libertas are going to be epic.  Well, unless they're talking about Catholicism, I suppose.

And Libby will have to come off mod review first, too.

That explains why he hasn't attacked my bill on the Federal Reserve yet in Atlasia.

So both The Vorlon and Phil are posting again.  Who's next?  Gabu?  Jsojourner?

Noted Democratic strategist James Carville made the following statement about Keystone Phil's return to the Atlas Forum:

"Being a member of the Atlas Forum is like having sex: you don't do it once and forget about it. It has a high, high recidivism rate."

There's a difference between Gabu and JSojourner.  Gabu left on his own, but wasn't JSJ either banned or forced out?  I doubt the mod community would let him back in, IMO.

Anyhow, how long has it been since Gabu left?

I didn't manage to accomplish either of those.
I noticed when you were gone.

I hadn't noticed you returned, though.

Hint: If you want people to notice you're gone, leave suddenly. Don't let your activity just peter out. (Oh, and: if you want to stay gone, don't leave suddenly. These all come back eventually.)

And in that also lies the reason for it - people leave suddenly because they want people to notice them, not because they want to leave.

So far Gabu is the exception to that rule though, right? I seem to recall he made a thread about leaving and then didn't come back.
