Well they've had black people speaking at various points during the convention.

Thought I read somewhere earlier on the thread that 13% of the RNC speakers are African-American, which would be about the overall national proportion of the population (Albeit only 1% of the delegates are Black)...

I can see why Trump would have leaked the speech. It reads way better on paper than it will coming out of his big fat mouth. The resistant Bernie folks—internet lemmings—can now read his speech in 15 minutes rather than listen to Trump over the course of an hour. They'll like it because they'll have the chance to disassociate it from the actual Donald Trump.

I think it was a smart move to put it out there.
