Surely, if you categorise people by race and skin tone within race, you are going to wind up with cross tabs that are small enough to have a pretty high margin of error?

Also, I'd assume whiet skinned Latinos are far wealthier than darker skinned ones to begin with, as social class in Latin America is very strongly linked to skin colour.

That's true. The natives are the poorests, the Mestizos are in the middle and Europeans are at the top of many communities in South America.

It's kind of like the Hindu Caste system.  Indian civilization has been around for about 4500 years. I wonder what American civilization will be like in the year 6100. I would make a thread about that but I doubt anyone would bite.
