He saw the light earlier than any other US politician involved in Vietnam, I believe.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer war criminal.
Living to a ripe old age of 93 and never be under any sort of threat to ever face charges? Yeah, I agree. If any war criminal is going to have that, I'd rather it'd be Robert McNamara than a truly not nice war criminal.
