Voting will go on for a few days, part 1a of the poll will be a list of others and forgots, a few of whom will make it to the next round as well.

As a partisan Democrat or as an American citizen?

As a citizen, I trust Jindal, Crist, and Pawlenty, in that order, to make fair decisions in the best interest of the American people.

Most of the other people I do not trust.  Gingrich is probably the best person to forward the interests of the GOP by pushing big ideas while still losing, so he might be the best guy to support in that way.

As a Partisan Democrat, I must say, Palin is the most doomed to lose and thus the person I "support."  She has devout support by 20% of the population, but her despise runs up more than 51% of the population, thus she is inherently bound to fail.

She might win the primaries though.

I voted for Giuliani, Thune, Romney, Huckabee and Crist.
I think that the GOP should go back to conservative fiscal policy, low taxes and low spending whilst becoming more moderate (or less southern) regarding social policy (still be the pro-life party but not as conservative as it is today).
Giuliani is a good pick in my view though his age (68 I believe in 2012) might be a problem, the GOP might just become the OP with its current status and if the line of old candidates will continue.
Romney is also a fine candidate though he can't build on his 4 year term as governor for that long.
Thune and Crist are future prospects of the party that could be good candidates and Huckabee, well...I needed one more, he's a good man but he's very conservative socially and fiscally I don't think is conservative enough, plus I don't know if he could win if elected as the nominee.

Thune, Palin, Jindal, Crist, Thompson. Good solid conservatives and, except for Thompson, the new generation of GOP leaders.

Huckabee, Thune, and Jindal.

Smart, Energetic, not crazy, and less emphasis on the small government platform that made the GOP lose 2008.

If Obama looks beatable: Romney, for the sake of the country.  I think he was the most competent 2008 candidate, from either party, with regards to the domestic problems we currently face.

If Obama looks unbeatable: Gingrich, to solve the current GOP "identity problem."

Crist and Pawlenty.  I like Thompson and Giuliani, but I can't say I'd support them for President given their poor campaigning track records from last time (neither of them will be running, anyway).

Giuliani, Thune, Jindal, Pawlenty, and Gingrich. I'd also give Romney another look if the economy was still in the tubes, because I think he's be the best for it outside of Giuliani. If Rudy runs for NY Governor and wins, I bet he runs again in 2012. I hope so.

I don't think so.  He would have to set up an exploratory committee immediately upon taking office in 2011.  If he became Governor, I think it would be his final stop.  A part of me wishes Spitzer was still in office.  I would've loved to have seen Rudy knock him out.

I don't expect Rudy to win the NY Governors race if he does run. I expect he won't in the end unless he really thinks he can win.

Pawlenty would probably make the best President out of these choices.

Jindal because he would be a great leader of the party. Huckabee I voted for because I'm socially conservative and a little more economically moderate, so he often seems to be a good fit, plus I just like the guy. Palin connects well with people, assuming she can repair her brand. Gingrich has a lot of ideas for the party and could be a good leader. Thune is an up-and-coming leader as well, and seems pretty charismatic. One other I would vote for who wasn't listed was Utah Governor Jon Hunstman, Jr., who's almost the perfect Republican for me, seems to have some good ideas for the party and is fairly young and fresh.
