Trump says that Gingrich's criticism of him is "inappropriate":

Gingrich’s fellow presumed-VP short lister Bob Corker is also criticizing Trump over the Curiel matter, albeit in somewhat more gentle terms.  On “This Week”, he said that Trump is “going to have to change” his campaign approach for the general election, and:

Apparently Gingrich is now off the list because of him going rogue.

Heard it on CNN

What is their source on that though?  Or is it just informed speculation?

Gingrich on Trump's comments on Curiel: "Once you go down that road, you destroy America":

The guy who holds the domains Clintoncastro.com and Clintonfranken.com is willing to sell for a mere $79,484.80:

When Tim Scott was asked about the veepstakes and whether he’d accept an offer to be Trump’s running mate last month, he dodged the question.  Well, looks like he’s now joining Gingrich in downgrading his standing on any potential list, re: Curiel:

John Thune’s also been mentioned as a possible VP choice, and, well…

If Trump were to rule out everyone who’s criticized him over Curiel, then who’s left?  By my count, of those for whom there’s been some speculation:

Blackburn
Brewer
Brown
Christie
Ernst (though she did break with him over the US alliance with South Korea)
Fallin
Huckabee
Palin
Sessions

None of them are actually defending him on Curiel though.  They’re just not criticizing him.

Sherrod Brown's wife is cool with him taking the VP job, should he be picked for it:

Apparently, Trump just gave an interview stating that his VP search is down to 4 or 5 politicians, including s of his past competitors and, significantly, including those who have not yet endorsed him!

He also said there were two military officials on the list who probably won't end up being picked. Kasich, Corker, Sessions, Flynn, McChrystal?

If you watch the video, they’re saying that the short list is actually ~7 people, of whom two are military officials, so the 4-5 people is the number of politicians on the list, not the full short list.

The 4-5 politicians supposedly includes two people who he ran against, of whom one hasn’t endorsed him "yet" (who I’m assuming is Kasich….because who else would it be?  Bush?  Cruz?  Fiorina?  Graham?  none of those make sense).

So, if Trump is looking to his competitors, it would have to be Rubio.

But the story said:

Rubio has endorsed him.  The ones who haven't are:

Bush
Cruz
Fiorina
Graham
Kasich
Pataki

I think it's Kasich, and Trump is simply hoping that Kasich comes around (even though I don't think he will...even if Kasich does manage to come around to endorsing Trump, I don't see him agreeing to be VP...but Trump probably doesn't accept that yet).

Oh, actually, to amend the above, I guess there's also Walker.  Walker endorsed Trump, but then walked back his endorsement after this Curiel business came up, and now says he's undecided.  Not sure if that would then count as "has so far refused to endorse him".

The MA legislature is under solid Dem control.

I read in the Globe the other day that there's apparently very little political will in the General Court for changing the law to strip Baker of his appointment power. For some inexplicable reason almost everybody in Massachusetts has been acting for the past year and a half like he's made of solid gold.

But the appointment would only be for a few months anyway, right?  If Warren resigns in November, then when is the special election?  February?

If Hillary picks Warren, TRUMP should consider Chris Christie.

I doubt Clinton will announce her pick until after Trump has announced his.

Just listened to Kasich on Fox. Not only was he adamant that he would not be Trump's VP but clearly said that he would not endorse Trump, even at the Convention in Cleveland, and in response to whether he prefers Clinton or Trump said "those are not very good choices".

So, if Trump is looking to his competitors, it would have to be Rubio.
He continued to say that he means that he won't endorse Trump unless Trump becomes less unifying. That's not "clearly not endorsing Trump" to me.

Didn't Big Don say someone who has not endorsed him yet? Oh lord, please don't let it be Rafael.

Kasich hasn't endorsed Trump.  However, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of endorsing Trump in the future.  I think he's most likely the VP short lister that Trump was referring to re: someone who hasn't endorsed him "yet".

Only if she announces before the convention.

What do you mean?  Whether she announces before the convention or at the convention, I don't see her making the announcement until Trump has made his announcement first.

Trump would be better off picking Kasich, that gives him at least a shot of winning Ohio, plus it will mend some bridges with the GOP establishment.

Except Kasich won't accept.  There's a decent chance that he won't even endorse him, let alone agree to be his running mate.

While I still think Scott Brown's a longshot because of abortion, he is at least in agreement with Trump on one of his big issues: the Muslim ban:

http://www.newshounds.us/fox_contributor_scott_brown_endorses_trump_s_muslim_ban_061416

I do think it'll be interesting to see how Trump's running mate handles Trump's most outrageous policy positions.  I mean, even if Trump picks someone like Sessions or Gingrich....are they going to say "Yes, I support taking Iraq's oil and killing terrorists' family members"?

Sure, Trump already has the endorsement of most Republican politicians.  But when they're asked about the more extreme aspects of Trump-ism, they tend to say that they don't agree with him on everything.  But when you're the guy's running mate, how much distance can you actually get from him?

Fallin is among a group of Republican governors who'll be meeting with Trump in NY today:

Another name that had been floated as a potential Trump veep is John Thune.  Looks like he’s also on the Corker “I’m concerned” train:

Blackburn writes an op/ed for Breitbart, making the case for a "temporary pause" in migration from countries "with a proven history of terrorism":

Scott Brown says that he would refuse to pick up Trump's order from McDonald's:

Yeah, according to “people familiar with the process”, Sanders isn’t being vetted.  The list of people being vetted includes (but may not be limited to):

Becerra
Booker
Brown
Castro
Eric Garcetti
Kaine
Perez
Tim Ryan
Warren
