Alaska has a lot of pretty wildlife which we shouldn't disturb, an abundance of oil, lots of unsettled land, and much to discover. There's a lot of leniency so by definition it's a freedom state. It does have a high number of people who work for the government but there's nothing wrong with that. The only thing that would prevent me from living there is the weather.

Freedom State.

I've spent a lot of time there from my experiences as a commercial salmon fisherman, it is an incredibly beautiful state and one of my favorite places in the country. Truly the last frontier in the US.
